The Campbell River runs through the research the way it runs through the landscape — it doesn't start where you're standing. Its conditions were set upstream, long before your arrival.

George Crooney performs at Campbell River Lodge beside the same water where Roderick Haig-Brown theorized the ethics of reading a river, and where Bing Crosby fished in the crooner tradition that George Crooney inhabits today.
